When Losi introduced the 5IVE-T in 2011, it revolutionized large-scale RC by giving enthusiasts what they didn’t even know they wanted: a 4x4 large-scale truck built with the same legendary engineering DNA as the dominant 1/8-scale 8IGHT platform. Easy to work on, powerful, and proven, the 5IVE-T immediately set the benchmark for large-scale performance. Now, over a decade later, Losi raises that benchmark to unprecedented heights with the all-new 5IVE-T 3.0.

The 5IVE-T 3.0 is built around one astonishing centerpiece, the new Fujiwara 35.2cc engine.

The 5IVE-T 3.0 rides on visually striking, officially licensed KMC KM549 wheels that showcase modern, scale-correct proportions. Innovative Pro-Line Racing Pro-Loc bead lock system technology makes tire changes effortless and saves you money in the long term, as you only need to replace tires, not entire wheel-and-tire combinations. Wrapped around these wheels are massive 8.5-inch Pro-Line Mirage TT tires featuring an aggressive, realistic tread design with desert truck-style sidewall ribs for exceptional support and control across varied terrain.

To handle the punishment, Losi engineered an entirely new body design. Unlike traditional polycarbonate bodies, the 5IVE-TE 3.0 features injection-molded polypropylene panels, which are the same ultra-durable material used on Losi’s Promoto-MX and Sprint Car platforms. These six body panels flex to absorb impacts, maintain uniform thickness to eliminate weak spots, and make replacement far more manageable and affordable.

A longer wheelbase maintains the massive wheels, tires, and body in perfect visual proportion, while also dramatically improving straight-line stability at speed. The drivetrain enhances strength, efficiency, and driveshaft durability. Optimized gearing, featuring a new 43/12 ring and pinion with a 67-tooth spur, transforms how this beast accelerates and performs with its increased size and tire diameter.

The suspension receives equally impressive upgrades. New 32mm big-bore shocks handle significantly more oil volume for improved damping performance under the weight and forces of the larger platform. Tapered pistons increase pack while creating a more controlled, quicker rebound for superior traction. Redesigned front and rear suspension arms feature material added around shock mounting locations for uniform thickness and enhanced durability. Additionally, corrected shock geometry optimizes shock angles from the tower to the arm.

An all-new easy-access center differential mount simplifies maintenance. Spektrum’s new metal-top large-scale servo delivers an astounding 1,000 oz/in of torque, keeping this massive truck pointed precisely where you want it. The metal top case keeps gears perfectly aligned while acting as a heatsink to draw heat away from the servo motor, enhancing both performance and longevity.

The included Spektrum DX3 Smart transmitter meets the needs of both newcomers and experienced large-scale enthusiasts.

The Losi 5IVE-T 3.0 is ready to dominate right out of the box. Simply add a 2S receiver battery with supporting charger. Add your pre-mixed fuel to the tank and you are ready to drive! A ratio of 25:1 is suggested.

The Losi 5IVE-T 3.0 is based on the DNA of the renowned 1/5-scale gas-powered 5IVE-T 2.0, which has become a benchmark in the large-scale RC community. Its design and engineering DNA are rooted in the company’s successful 1/8-scale and short course platforms.

1/5-Scale Metal Top Hi Torque 15T Servo

Designed to handle extreme stress with superior performance in mind, the new SPMSS1000MT metal top servo is keeping the 5IVE-T pointed in the right direction. The 1000 oz/in hi torque metal top servo is more than just your standard large-scale servo. The metal top case not only helps keep all the gears aligned but also acts as a heat sink, drawing heat away from the servo motor to enhance performance and durability.

Spektrum DX3 Smart 3-Channel Transmitter

The throttle limiting function on the included Spektrum DX3 2.4GHz transmitter allows novice users to limit the truck’s top speed to 50% or 75% of its full potential until they’re ready to unleash its full potential. Using a Smart battery, you can monitor the available capacity on the transmitter’s Smart battery level indicator.

Ultra Durable Injection-Molded Body Panels

The Losi 5IVE-T 3.0’s massive size and power mean that the body shell takes a serious beating during aggressive driving and rollovers. The new injection-molded body panels flex and absorb impacts, making them highly durable. The injection-molded bodies also maintain a uniform thickness, increasing their strength by eliminating thin spots that can occur in a vacuum forming process.

New Massive 32mm Big Bore Shocks

The 32mm Big Bore Shocks have a larger diameter than the original 5IVE-T shocks, allowing for more oil volume and improved damping. The new, larger Big Bore shocks increase the fluid volume by an incredible 78% over the original 5IVE-T shocks. The tapered piston design helps to increase the pack while creating a more controlled, faster rebound for improved overall traction.

Easy Access Center Diff Mount

A new easy-access center diff mount simplifies the removal and maintenance of the center differential. The new design allows access to the center differential by unbloting 6 screws and removing the top plate assembly.

Officially Licensed KMC KM549 Wheels

KMC is a globally recognized brand known for its stylish and rugged off-road wheels. Their innovative designs aim to be both visually appealing and highly functional. The 5IVE-T 3.0 features officially licensed KMC KM549 Wheels with Pro-Line Pro-Loc technology.

New Suspension Arms

New front and rear suspension arms feature added material around the lower shock mounting locations, providing uniform arm thickness for improved durability. Adjustments to the shock geometry correct the shock angles from the tower to the arm with the new, larger 32mm Big-Bore shocks.

Optimized Gearing for Larger Size

Optimizing gearing on the 5IVE-T 3.0 was a crucial part of the development process. The right gear ratio can significantly transform how the truck accelerates and performs, particularly when increasing the overall size of the truck and its tires. The 5IVE-T 3.0 now comes with a new 43/12 ring and pinion gear, and 67t spur paired to a 19T pinion to get this beast of a truck moving.
